What this Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy covers Lifting Up’s treatment of personally identifiable information that Lifting Up collects as part of its services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Lifting Up does not own or control, or to people that Lifting Up does not employ or manage.
Information Collection and Use
Lifting Up collects personally identifiable student information from local school districts (District) for the purpose of delivering our Services. Lifting Up automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, and the page you requested. Lifting Up uses information to understand our customer's usage of the website for the purpose of improving the end-user experience on the site.
Access to Information
Only limited student data is accessible on Lifting Up’s site, and access is limited to the number of individual employees, agents, or contractors of the District authorized to access or use the Services. Each Authorized End User will be required to sign up for an account, select a password and username, and agree to the terms and conditions of the Website, which may be updated from time to time. The District shall be responsible for all acts and omissions of Authorized End Users. The District shall undertake to make all Authorized End Users aware of the provisions of this Agreement as applicable to such Authorized End User’s use of the Services and shall cause Authorized End Users to comply with such provisions.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Lifting Up will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. Lifting Up may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when: We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of Lifting Up to provide a product or service to you. (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.); We respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process; or We find that your actions on our web sites violate the Lifting Up Terms of Service or any of our usage guidelines for specific products or services. Lifting Up uses the services of one or more third parties to deliver any part of the Services and/or access to the Website, including without limitation using a third party to host the Website.
Data Collected from Children
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) applies to the online collection of personal information from children under 13. While Lifting Up holds personal information about children under 13, it does not explicitly or intentionally collect personal information from children under 13. There are no online forms within the system that request personal information from children under 13. Student personal information is entered into the system by school employees or parents.
